NEXORA News is a news discovery application for iPhone, iPad, Android devices, Apple Watch, and Even G2 smart glasses, provided by EDIFORCE Inc. (エディフォース株式会社). We design NEXORA to minimize the information handled by us. This policy explains how NEXORA News handles information.
1. Information we do not request
NEXORA News does not require account registration and does not request:
- your name, postal address, telephone number, email address, or date of birth;
- advertising identifiers such as IDFA; or
- information used to track your activity across apps or websites for advertising.
2. Information stored primarily on your device
The following information is stored primarily on your device:
- the headline, supplied short description, original-article URL, source name, and your own note for an item saved with Snap;
- likes and reading history used to reflect your display preferences; and
- selected sources, categories, and display settings.
Your notes and full article text are not sent to EDIFORCE servers. If you enable Even G2 integration, the minimum synchronization information described in Section 4 is relayed.
3. iCloud synchronization on Apple devices
On Apple devices, NEXORA may use Apple's iCloud key-value store to make newly added Snap items and favorite sources available between your iPhone and Apple Watch. Removing an item on one device may require removing it separately on the other device. This synchronization is handled through Apple's iCloud infrastructure and is subject to Apple's privacy policy. EDIFORCE does not obtain or view this synchronization data. The Android version does not use iCloud.
4. Optional Even G2 integration
Only when you explicitly enable Even G2 integration in the app does NEXORA send the following information to the NEXORA relay at nexora.ediforce.net over HTTPS:
- a randomly generated pairing code and its mapping to the G2-side identifier;
- selected sources, categories, product edition, and display presets; and
- Snap and unsnap operations performed on G2, a normalized key identifying the relevant article, and the operation time.
NEXORA does not send your name, email address, advertising ID, notes, full article text, or contacts through this relay. Temporary feed snapshots and operation queues automatically expire within 12 hours. The mapping between a pairing code and a G2 identifier is retained until it is overwritten by re-pairing or deleted in response to a request. You can disconnect the integration in the app. To request deletion of the server-side mapping, contact us as described in Section 11 and include the relevant pairing code.
5. Location, network communications, and outbound reading
On Apple devices, if you choose a local-weather feature and grant location permission, NEXORA uses coarse location to request weather and barometric-pressure information from a weather-data provider. The request is made for the feature response; EDIFORCE does not receive or retain the location. The current Android release does not request location permission or obtain or transmit device location.
NEXORA uses network communications to obtain news-feed JSON, public information such as disaster and market data, and article thumbnail images.
- NEXORA displays the headline, a short description supplied through the feed, the source name, publication time, and original-article link.
- EDIFORCE does not store or reconstruct full article text. When you open an article, NEXORA opens the original publisher's website in a standard browser view.
- Memo organization uses on-device AI on supported Apple devices and deterministic on-device processing in the current Android release. Your memo is not sent to EDIFORCE or an external AI provider.
- When you open an original article, the publisher may process information normally associated with a web request, such as an IP address, under the publisher's own privacy policy.
- Network infrastructure providers may process standard request information, including an IP address, as necessary to transmit and protect a request. NEXORA does not use this information for advertising or cross-service tracking.
6. Tracking, analytics, and advertising
The current release of NEXORA News does not track users across apps or websites and does not use third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. NEXORA does not use cookies to track activity in the app.
7. Sale or disclosure of information
EDIFORCE does not sell the information handled through NEXORA. The optional G2 relay described in Section 4 is used to provide NEXORA functionality and not for advertising or marketing. Network infrastructure providers may process requests under their service terms and privacy policies. EDIFORCE does not provide relay information to them for advertising or cross-service tracking. Except for these service operations or where disclosure is required by law, EDIFORCE does not disclose relay information to external parties.
8. Data management, retention, and deletion
- On-device data: delete it through the app's controls or by uninstalling the app.
- Temporary Even G2 data: feed snapshots and operation queues automatically expire within 12 hours.
- Pairing-code mapping: email contact@ediforce.co.jp with the subject “NEXORA News G2 Data Deletion” and include the relevant pairing code. After confirming the target, we will delete the mapping unless retention is required by law.
Files that you export or share outside the app are managed at the destination you choose.
9. Children's privacy
NEXORA News does not intentionally collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy when NEXORA's features or applicable requirements change. Material changes will be announced on this page.
